Jim Negron Named President of Corna Kokosing
Corna Kokosing Construction Company’s (CK) Board of Directors announced this week it has named Jim Negron president of the Columbus-based commercial construction company. Negron most recently served as executive vice president.
“Over the course of nearly 30 years, Jim’s leadership has helped build this company into the success it is today,” said Lori M. Gillett, chief executive officer of CK. “He has extensive knowledge of the inner workings of the company and has hand-picked our exceptional team. He is the heartbeat of the company and rallies everyone around a shared vision.”
“We have such loyal customers and business partners because of our mutual respect and desire to give back to the community.” Negron said. “I am privileged to build on that great culture as it is a key ingredient to the success of our operational and strategic goals.”
Negron began his professional career as a foreman, gained experience as a superintendent and division manager, then held leadership roles as vice president and executive vice president throughout his CK career. As president Negron will continue to cultivate strong relationships with customers, team members and the community.
Negron has a long history of nurturing future construction talent and giving back to the community. He helped create the industry-supported construction trades training program at Fort Hayes Career Center with Columbus City Schools, which provides good job opportunities for inner-city teens. He serves on several boards, including the Columbus Urban League, Jazz Arts Group, Catholic Social Services and the Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio. Negron has four children and resides in the German Village area in Columbus.
