Riverside Neuroscience Center
In partnership with the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, Corna Kokosing recently completed the 400,000+ SF neuroscience/cardiac patient tower with 224 private beds (including several ICU), a linear accelerator, MRIs, interventional radiology, ORs, CTs, outpatient clinics, and many other supporting services. The project also included the renovation of the existing surgery suite serving the campus, several building entrances, a 500-600 car addition to an existing four-story parking garage, emergency generator building for approximately 8,000 kW of emergency power, boiler house renovation for insertion of a new boiler into the existing campus steam services, and several acres of sitework enhancements (roads, walks, hardscape, landscape, green roof, rain gardens, etc.). In terms of both size and cost, this is the largest project in the history of OhioHealth.
Use of prefabrication was key to the successful completion of the Neuroscience Center Tower.
