Ohio State Wilce Student Health Center
The Wilce Student Health Center is located in an area on OSU’s campus known as the Health and Wellness Core. Corna Kokosing provided renovation and addition services to upgrade the building to support a 21st century model of care by creating new clinical spaces, incorporating new technologies and optimizing patient flow.
The renovation and addition project was performed in three phases: Phase I, site work; Phase II, ground floor, addition, and pharmacy turnover; and Phase III, first floor renovation. The project was completed on schedule.
The addition serves as the main entrance along the south side of the building, creating a presence on the quadrangle formed by the Psychology Building, Cunz Hall, Thompson Library and RPAC. The increased square footage from the addition and enclosure of the patio on the ground floor serves the renovation and planning of new patient registration, reception and patient intake/exam spaces. The expanded pharmacy moved from the first floor to the ground floor along a newly-designed quick care clinic.
The Corna Kokosing team planned the overall site logistics and implemented the new ground floor entrance. This included the planning of a one and two story addition and plan for the demolition of the existing first floor ramp, stair, landing, and canopy and adjacent site work on all sides of the building.
I cannot say enough in regards to the high level of service and professionalism provided by your team. They continually went above and beyond what was expected and were critical to the success of the project. Their dedication to quality and hard work made our vision a reality.
